The FINCAPES (Flood Impacts, Carbon Pricing, and Ecosystem Sustainability) project invites qualified individuals and agencies to submit proposals for the construction and monitoring of canal blocking structures in Sungai Gelam Village, Jambi Province.This initiative is a collaborative effort implemented by the University of Waterloo (funded by Global Affairs Canada) and IPB University, supporting the IPB Centre for Applied Research in Nature-based Solutions (I-CAN). The project aims to accelerate the adoption of Nature-based Solutions (NbS) for the restoration and conservation of critical peatland ecosystems.
Peatland restoration in Sungai Gelam Village spans 47 hectares across two distinct zones: Block 1 (Shrubs) and Block 2 (Agroforestry). Due to previously constructed canals that lack Peat Rewetting Infrastructure (IPG), these areas suffer from severe seasonal droughts and frequent land fires.

Maximum Budget: IDR 240,000,000,- (inclusive of applicable Indonesian taxes).
Proposal Constraints: Maximum of ten (10) pages (excluding references/company profiles) written in English.
