Restorasi Gambut di Desa Sungai Gelam: Laporan Analisis Biofisik dan Sosial Ekonomi

The document is a report on the biophysical and socioeconomic analysis of peatland restoration in Sungai Gelam Village, Jambi, Indonesia.  The report is prepared by IPB University in collaboration with the FINCAPES Project, with support from the Government of Canada.   

 

The analysis aims to provide baseline data for the planning and implementation of peatland restoration initiatives in the area. The analysis covers:

  • Vegetation cover   
  • Physical and chemical properties of peat   
  • Biological conditions of peat.   
  • The socioeconomic analysis covers:
  • General conditions of Sungai Gelam Village   
  • Conditions of the Multi Usaha Mandiri Cooperative   
  • Characteristics of the cooperative's members   
  • Livelihood patterns   
  • Gender roles in the community.   

The report aims to provide a foundation for sustainable peatland restoration by integrating ecological and community-based approaches.
