NbS Applied Research Center
FINCAPES will accelerate the application of Nature-based Solutions (NbS) for peatland and mangrove conservation and restoration, which are critical to Indonesia’s climate adaptation and mitigation efforts. FINCAPES will help establish an NbS applied research center at IPB University to research, develop, and pilot improved NbS techniques and models in target communities, and beyond, to complement Government of Indonesia critical ecosystem restoration efforts. The work will also support biodiversity preservation, carbon absorption, and sustainable livelihoods.
